British Values

Here at St James' CE Primary Christian Values are at the heart of all of our teaching; working alongside this is also British Values.  We believe from these our children are able to become active, responsible citizens who participate in democracy and public life with respect for diversity and a commitment to working towards greater community cohesion.

Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development (SMSC) is central to our school which emphasizes the difference between right and wrong as well as respecting and tolerating differences in a very diverse and modern Britain.  We have a curriculum that will enable children to make progress towards these aims.
