Welcome to our Year 6 Page

Our vision: Within our community we strive to develop deep roots, strong growth and freedom to flourish as a unique and whole child of God

Mrs Williams & Mrs Gardner will be leading our Year 6 class:

Hello! I am Mrs Williams and I am here for a year while Mrs Loizou is having her baby. I was new to St James last year, but I have been a teacher for a long time in other Enfield schools. It is lovely to be here and I am loving being the year 6. I only work in school for 3 days and on Thursday and Friday I am involved in running a Mums and Tots group at my church and being a governor at other Enfield schools. I trained as a science teacher and love teaching science. I also enjoy art and crafts - I have helped make props and costumes for school productions and am looking forward to our year together and all the learning and growing we will do together.

When I’m not at school I have my hands full with my own two little girls; my eldest is currently in primary school and my youngest is just about to start reception. My class will always get to hear some funny stories about what they get up to at home! I enjoy learning new recipes to cooking and baking with my husband,  and girls and I really enjoy going on adventures around England with my family. If you see me around the school don’t forget to say hello!

Hi , I’m Mrs Gardner and will be sharing the Year 6 class this year .. I have been teaching for over 26 years now and have worked in many Boroughs , as well as doing a teacher exchange programme for a year in New Jersey , USA …I thoroughly enjoy teaching KS2 children, hence why I have been a class teacher for so long ! I am passionate about English and the importance of the “the love of reading “ of children. This  was also my specialism in my teaching degree .

My other passion is helping children to learn how to regulate their emotions as I believe this will be the key to creating a better and safer  world for the future . I believe emotional regulation is crime prevention and addiction prevention  and creates a path to a world where people can disagree but still respect each other.
This is my third year at ST James and I absolutely love the school , all the staff ,the children  but most importantly its ethos and values . In my spare time , I work for my own two children!! They are in Year 3 and  Year 4 - my other equally  demanding job! I love exercise and running outdoors whenever I get an opportunity. I believe I am a life long learner , and hope to install this love for learning into my class .

Our vision: Within our community we strive to develop deep roots, strong growth and freedom to flourish as a unique and whole child of God.
