Perform! Nottingham
Our Year 5's were shortlisted to perform at Nottingham Arena in the Big Band Concert. This was a fabulous event and the children really enjoyed themselves even though it was quite a long day for them! Above is a short video from the concert that you can just click to play. “The children at Starks Field and St James have done exceptionally well to be selected and will bring honour and pride to the borough.” Kim Hember, manager of EASS.
SIXTY talented young musicians from two Enfield primary schools have been selected to perform in a national concert.

The pupils, from Starks Field Primary School, in Church Street, Edmonton, and St James Church of England Primary School, in Frederick Crescent, Enfield, will join 500 children at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham on Wednesday.

The youngsters will play a variety of musical instruments and sing in the "Perform!" concert, organised by music college Trinity Guildhall.

The event will showcase the musical achievements by pupils on the Wider Opportunities programmes taught in UK primary schools.

Allan McLean, headteacher of St James, said:
“The children have made fantastic progress, reaching a very high standard in such a short time.
They are working extremely hard and I have every confidence that they will perform brilliantly.”

Kim Hember, manager of EASS, added: “The children at Starks Field and St James have done exceptionally well to be selected and will bring honour and pride to the borough.”
